GE Model GS25JSXL SDMy water dispenser stopped working in my GE because it kept freezing. I defrosted it once, turned my temperature down, but it kept freezing. Here’s the solution that worked for me:1) Lock the water dispenser. 2) Defrost the water line using a hair dryer modified with a soda can to direct air into water line. (See video) Start with 15 seconds, test, and do for another 15 seconds if needed. Be careful not to melt the plastic dispenser or tube. 3) Once defrostred and working, place a 5″ piece of weed eater cord into tube, and let stick out a .5″. 4) Pull in and out when water flow slows or stops.Let me know in the comments below if this works for you, or if you came up with any other solutions!UPDATE (2.1.17): I ended up buying some black insulation tape and covered the area I referenced in the video… worked like a charm! No more freeze-ups and no need for the weed eater cord!
